My first parade

This weekend is a big weekend in Elk City. Saturday they have a big parade, and they also have a rodeo Fri, Sat, and Sun nights. On Saturday mom took me to the rodeo. We sat with some friends. Parker and I thoroughly enjoyed the rodeo parade as you can see. And yes, that is a yawn coming from me and mom said Parker never even opened his eyes. The part I did see was the police cars and fire trucks and I absolutely did NOT like the sirens. They were way too loud!!! The parade wasn't too bad until it started raining. So needless to say, my first parade experience wasn't too bad or hot (thanks to the wind and rain!).

My favorite part of the day was once again, when mom took me out of the car seat and laid me on the floor where I could stretch out...see later posts for a video of this!

Home...Away

Thank you Aunt Leslie for my "proper football attire"! And have no fear...Mimi has provided me with a different onesie as well as a pacifier and a bib to support the team!

A little talking...a little smiling

Mom says I am definitely a morning person. Some mornings when I wake up, mom comes in and flips me over to my back so I can look around. I am so happy, full of smiles, and very active in the mornings. I have even been known to lay in my bed 30 minutes after being flipped so mom can get ready. I know, I know, I am such a great kid.






I am so ready to talk!!! I was getting pretty close to doing it the other day in the floor with dad.

After being in the evil car seat for very long, I like to lay somewhere where I can really stretch out and oh does it make me happy! (Sorry but it took two videos for this one...the second is a continuation of the first)

Big Smiles!

Yesterday mom and Mary took me to get my first pictures made. However, I decided that I didn't really want to participate! So I didn't smile for a single picture. Mom was a little frustrated with me but seriously, who likes to take pictures?! So last night I sat in the chair with dad and was full of smiles...see I can do it...just let me do it on my time! (Mom did say thank goodness we did pictures at Wal-Mart and she didn't have to pay a sitting fee or spend much money!)

Water!

Today during my bath, mom used this new thing to rinse me off instead of a plain old cup. It was the coolest thing ever. I tried my hardest to get a drink and finally got one! I got pretty good at following the water as mom went from one side to the other. I was bound and determined to get me a drink!

All in a morning...

Poppy's Birthday

So mom just broke the news....today is poppy's birthday and I don't get to see him....and yes that is my first real tear!

Cousin Baleigh came over to see me and of course Mom had to take some pictures...Mom thinks I kind of look like her too...

More new friends!

Tuesday we went over to Elk City so I could meet another new friend, Parker James Allison...he is exactly 6 weeks younger than I am. His big sister, Aubree, turned 2 in July. We had lots of fun eating Wongs and catching up....well at least our parents did...we just hung out and slept!

Playing!

I am really starting to like laying down and playing on the floor. My cousin Baleigh let me borrow this fun toy that has fish hanging down and plays music and lights up. Sometimes when I get really excited, I can actually hit the fish and send them swinging! However, I haven't gotten very good at hit the fish on command. Mom is still working really hard on that, or at least catching me do it with the camera!

Reading my books

My friend Britten Bengs brought over some books for me to read. They are black and white books and they are great! My favorite are the sun and the fish pages!

So Friday was a much more quiet day. I had completely worn myself out on Thursday screaming in the car, so this is basically what I did all day Friday. And yes, it made for a terrible night for mom on Friday night...what can I say, sleep in the day stay up through the night??!!






Nikki Allen called to schedule a shower for me before I was born. Since mom was put on bed rest, the shower was put on hold. They had the shower for me this morning...here is the table and the only picture Aunt Mary took... There is also a picture of me in one of my "big boy" outfits as mom calls it...don't I look so cute???!!!

And then mom decided to record it so grandma and poppy could have the full effect of my screaming! Poor Aunt Mary had to drive all the way home while I screamed and while mom tried to keep putting my pacifier in my mouth!

Thursday's tragedy....

So, Thursday we take a road trip. No one bothered to inform me as to where we were going or what this trip was for...just a long car ride in my mind. So of course I slept for some of this ride....then I decided that I had slept long enough...
"WHAT??? Where did my grandma and poppy go??? You left them at the airport??!! No one told me they were leaving!!! Who is going to hold my pacifier in my mouth or read to me or tell me "we are almost there..just a few more minutes" while I ride in the car? AHHHH!!!! (I believe my mom was also saying that as I screamed...probably more from my screaming than anything)"

So, Poppy finally made it! And boy did he have some stories to tell....

And of course, I have some stories of my own to share...

One of my favorite places to be is on my changing pad on top of my dresser. There is this really shiny thing on one side of me...that is where my friend lives. I like to look at him all the time! He is pretty handsome! It's crazy...he has to get his diaper changed, clothes changed, and all the other things you do on a changing pad just like me!!!

One month old!!!

I am one month old! Mom wants to see how I grow so we will see if she can remember a pic every month with this hat (from Aunt Mary) on!

Meeting more new friends...

Mom and I went to Elk City to meet my new friends Kade and Brayden (and their mom Kristie). While Kade wasn't looking, I tried on his new John Deere boots. What do you think?!Kade and I had matching outfits, so of course mom thought she had to take more pictures. Problem with this was...it was way too close to eating time for me to be too thrilled to participate. Mom really should work on her planning! So I am a month old and Kade is a little over 3 months...quite a big difference.

And we also had to do the head shot and include Brayden! I think mom took at least 20 shots to get one this good!
We had lots of fun with our new friends...I even got to go to the famous Taco Factory!
